This study aims to: (1) find out the skills of handlers in operating purse seine fishing gear (2) Knowing ground (3) factors that affect operations with gear. The research methods used are survey methods, interviews and questionnaires. data were analyzed descriptively. A total 30 at PPP Lampulo have been respondents this study. results showed ship mostly 41-50 years old, average handler education level is junior high school, majority more than 5 experience, only a Certificate Proficiency (SKK) ships.
